Development Details

The Sugar Wharf development will be on the site of the LCBO lands at Toronto’s waterfront. As part of the development, a new headquarters will be built for the LCBO, as well as a mix of residential, rental, retail, and office buildings. Included are plans for a new flagship LCBO store and a large grocery store. There are also plans for a new park in the southwest corner of the development, a possible new school, and a connection to Toronto’s underground PATH network. Once the ambitious project is completed, it is expected to be the largest mixed-use development on the waterfront, with up to 8,000 people living in the area and up to 4,500 working there.

It’s a truly visionary new community, with the opportunity for families to live, work and learn all in one place. Central to the plan is the development of Sugar Wharf Condominiums. Phase one of the residential development will see two towers built that will rise 70 and 64 storeys and offer great views of the waterfront from many of the south-facing units. From there you can catch streetcars, subway trains, GO trains to locations in and around the GTA, VIA trains to elsewhere in Ontario and Canada, and TTC and GO bus services to almost unlimited destinations. That alone would be impressive but you also have easy access to the Gardiner Expressway and only a short journey to Billy Bishop Airport for flights to elsewhere in North America.
