Abeja District
Updated on June 24, 2021
Introducing Abeja District condos – a new high-rise condo development close to Vaughan Mills by Cortel Group.
Abeja District Development Details
Abeja is Spanish for bee and the project is so-named because it was inspired by the honeycomb-like communities of Barcelona. As such, the designers and developers have aimed to make Abeja District into a resident-focused community. The project will contain three residential towers built around a common, community area. These towers will be 27, 26 and 30 storeys tall.
The first release at Abeja District is Tower I: a 27-storey building with 232 residential units in a wide variety of layouts from studio to three-bedroom. The units will be between 415 and 1,560 square feet and the developer says that the average size of a unit at Abeja District will be 667 square feet.
Amenities in Tower I at Abeja District will be located on the lower floors, with the majority on the fifth level. These amenities will include a fitness room, a yoga room, a wellness spa, a pool, a lounge/party room, a work hub, and a number of outdoor terraces.
Neighbourhood Details
Abeja District is located at Rutherford and Jane, just a short walk away from Vaughan Mills shopping mall. First of all, that means there are an incredible range of amenities nearby, from the endless shops of the mall, to the big box stores in nearby plazas, to the huge number of restaurants.
Of course, there’s lot’s more in the area. Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and the TTC subway are just a short journey to the south, Highway 400 and connections to the rest of the GTA are a few minutes to the west, and popular highlights like Canada’s Wonderland and various recreational centres are also within easy reach.
