ANX Condos – Development Details

ANX Condos is a mid-rise building with 13 storeys and 85 units. The units will come in a mixture of layouts, with the planning application indicating that there will be 5 one-bedroom units, 53 two-bedroom units, 3 two-bedroom plus den units and 24 three-bedroom units. That makes this a very family-friendly development, with the vast majority of units designed for multiple occupants. Underground there will be three parking levels containing 158 parking spaces. Although it is not clear how they will be allocated, there are almost twice as many spaces as units so it seems likely there will be ample parking available. The planning documents also indicate that there will be 81 bicycle parking spaces on the first level underground.

The building is located on the north side of Dupont Street and the first two storeys will have dedicated commercial space. There are also plans for both indoor and outdoor amenities for residents but, so far, there are no details as to what these will be.

Neighbourhood Details

ANX seems to take its name from the fact that it sits on the northern edge of the Annex – one of Toronto’s most desirable neighbourhoods. It’s a fantastic location close to the heart of Toronto and with a seemingly endless list of amenities nearby. That’s why the location of ANX Condos has a near-perfect walk score of 94/100 – making it a “walker’s paradise” and indicate that most daily errands can be completed without using a car.

The wealth of amenities isn’t just restricted to the immediate area. ANX Condos is just a short journey from downtown Toronto, and popular neighbourhoods and areas like Yorkville, Wychwood Park, Christie Pits, Summerhill and Rosedale. That puts just about anything you can imagine within easy reach.

Transit

ANX Condos is just 140 metres away from Dupont subway station, which sits on the western side of line 1 of the TTC’s subway. One stop to the south is Spadina station; which is on lines 1 and 2. That means that most of the subway system is within easy reach of residents of ANX Condos. A journey to downtown will take as little as 7 minutes, Union Station can be reached in 13 minutes, High Park is only 17 minutes away, and the journey to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre is just 33 minutes. In short, most of Toronto and even much of the GTA is within easy reach of ANX Condos.
