Introducing Elektra Condos by Menkes – a new high-rise, mixed-use condo development located in a prime downtown Toronto location on the corner of Dundas Street E and George Street.
Development Details – Elektra Condos
Elektra Condos will be a 48-storey residential building with an 8-storey podium level. The development will incorporate the existing structure on the corner of Dundas and George – helping to maintain the look and feel of the area – while also adding commercial space at grade with retail fronting onto Dundas and George in both new and existing structures.
According to planning applications submitted to the city of Toronto, the residential part of the development will contain 490 condo units. This will include 46 studio units, 320 one-bedroom units, 74 two-bedroom units and 50 three-bedroom units.
There will be 2,702 sq. ft. of outdoor amenity space on the 2nd floor, along with 2,626 sq. ft. on the 8th floor, bringing a grand total of 5,328 sq. ft. of outdoor amenities. In addition to this, architectural plans indicate that there will be approximately 13,412 sq. ft. of indoor amenity space, meaning there will be a wide range of amenities for residents to enjoy.
Elektra condos will have a total of 78 parking spaces – 50 residential spaces and 28 commercial spaces. Considering the number of spaces, it is likely that parking spaces will be limited to buyers of the larger 3-bedroom units to begin with. There will also be 502 bicycle storage spaces – 446 residential long term, 50 residential short-term, and 6 non-residential short term.
