Queen & Ashbridge condos is the condominium part of a new development located on the site of a current social housing complex. Queen & Ashbridge itself will be a mixed-use building with 17- and 15-storey towers rising out of its podium level. In addition, the overall development will include a 10-storey purpose-built rental building. As part of the arrangement agreed with the city, the overall development will include a range of unit types, including affordable units to replace those being demolished. In total, there will be approximately 120 “rent-geared to income” rental units, 100 affordable rental units, 188 rental units at market value, and 363 condominium units available for buyers.
The layouts of the condo units at Queen & Ashbridge will be as follows: 178 studio, one-bedroom or one-bedroom plus den units, 166 two-bedroom units, and 19 three-bedroom units. The development will include 337 parking spaces for cars and 814 bicycle parking spaces. According to planning documents, there will be a 373 square metres of indoor amenity space and 422 square metres of outdoor amenity space for the condominium. There will also be 1,575 square metres of retail space across the entire development included at ground level, adding to the already wide rage of stores in the local area.
In the centre of the development there will be an “Urban Forest”, offering peace and tranquility to residents. The latest release of suites is for the “Cottage Collection” – a series of suites that border the urban forest and offer a new type of urban living as they are designed to “echo the ambiance and emotion of a tranquil, wild and natural Muskoka landscape”. These suites have a variety of layouts including one-bedroom (430 to 610 sq. ft.), one-bedroom plus den (619 sq. ft.) and two-bedroom (632 to 893 sq. ft.) and come with rustic finishes to complement the surroundings.
Queen & Ashbridge condos is located in the south-east end of the Leslieville neighbourhood and just steps away form the popular Beaches neighbourhood.
