Introducing The Lakeshore – the western building in Concord Adex’s two-building condo development on the site of the former headquarters of Loblaws.
The Lakeshore will rise 39 storeys, making it slightly smaller than its neighbor, The Lakefront. The building will contain a wide range of layouts including 1-bedroom, 1-bedroom plus den, 1-bedroom plus sunroom and 3-bedroom floorplans. The units range in size from 448 to 840 square feet and have additional outdoor space with balconies that range from 32 to 181 square feet depending upon the unit.
As well as sharing the amenities of The Lakefront (including the impressive skygarden on the upper level), the Lakeshore will boast a wide range of impressive amenities itself. A large amenity area on level 5 includes an outdoor pet playground, a pet spa, outdoor golf putting, a spinning area, a treadmill area, an outdoor lounge, a martial arts room, a weights room, plus both indoor and outdoor yoga areas.
The overall development is one of the final stages of the Concord CityPlace master-plan and will incorporate the former Loblaws headquarters. That historic building will get a modern renovation while maintaining the unique character of the building, turning it into a modern 7-storey commercial building that will contain a Loblaws store.
The location of The Lakeshore couldn’t be much better. Lake Ontario is just a five-minute walk away, while Billy Bishop airport will take just a minute more on foot. That also means many lakeside parks and Ontario Place are also within easy reach. Many additional amenities are available within a short walking distance, as are popular neighbourhoods like the Fashion District, Entertainment District and King West Village – which shows why the location gets an impressive walk score of 90/100.
For transit, there is a streetcar service that stops at the corner of Bathurst St and Lake Shore Blvd and then runs along Queens Quay on a separated track, offering unimpeded and efficient service to the downtown core and various PATH connections – ideal for those cold winter days.
