Introducing Union Village by Minto and Metropia – a new master-planned community of homes on the northern edge of Unionville in Markham.
Development Details – Union Village
The homes at Union Village will be released in multiple stages, with both townhomes and detached homes available in the development. The masterplan envisions a community of more than just homes – with modern amenities and lots of green spaces incorporated into the neighbourhood. In the words of the developer, Union Village offers “the small-town charm and character of Unionville, with the access and opportunity of the Markham metropolis.”
The types of homes at Union Village vary greatly. There are back-to-back townhomes, rear-lane townhomes, traditional townhomes and detached singles – all coming in a range of layouts and sizes. The back-to-back towns have either 2- or 3-bedroom layouts and range from 1,283 to 1,939 square feet. Floorplans for the latest release of these models can be seen by clicking the View Floorplans button on this page.
The rear-lane towns at Union Village range from approximately 1,800 to 3,200 square feet and have two, three, four, or five bedrooms depending on the model and the layout selected. Most of the traditional townhomes are approximately 2,000 square feet, with three-bedrooms and an attached single garage at the front. Detached homes range from approximately 2,000 to 3,200 square feet and have three or four bedrooms.
Most of the homes at Union Village have flexible options in the floorplans – allowing buyers to choose the right layout for their needs and adding a personal touch to many of the homes.
Located just to the north of desirable Unionville and in a high-demand Markham location, Union Village may be of particular interest to families with children. The area currently sits in the school boundary for Pierre Elliot Trudeau High School and is also in the holding area for Unionville High School. Both of these schools received the same score in the most recent reports and were ranked joint-12th out of 739 secondary schools in Ontario. That makes this one of the best school zones in the entire province and is the reason that demand is so high for real estate in the area.
Besides schools, the area has plenty of other impressive amenities. There are seemingly endless green spaces, which will be added to by the development at Union Village. The historic Main Street of Unionville is a short distance away, as is the more modern and probably more popular Markville Mall. To the south and southwest of Unionville, you’ll find the Markham Pan Am centre, downtown Markham, and Unionville GO station. That means there are so many options to work and play within easy reach of your new home.
