Coming soon to Downtown Toronto – YSL Residences. A new super tall condominium tower at Yonge and Gerrard that will add a new feature to the Toronto skyline.
Set to be released soon, YSL is planned to rise to a massive 97 storeys (344 metres), which will make it the tallest building in Canada upon completion and substantially taller than the recently released The One at Yonge and Bloor.
YSL stands for Yonge Street Living and this is certainly an area where you can experience the best of one of Toronto’s best-known streets. Located on the southeast corner of Yonge and Gerrard and on the western edge of the Garden District, this is a part of the city that is replete with options. Ryerson University is next door, Dundas Square and the Eaton Centre are just four minutes’ walk away, for foodies, there are countless restaurants are in every direction, and there are plenty of museums, theatres and other Toronto highlights, as well as popular neighbourhoods, all within easy walking distance.
This all helps to explain why the address gets an almost-perfect walk score of 99/100. There is so much to see and do within walking distance that you can pretty live without a car if you choose.
The other reason you can leave the car behind is the incredible transport services around YSL. Head north on Yonge St and walk for four minutes and you’ll reach a College TTC Station, where you can catch a subway and set off on a journey across the city. A few minutes further to the south, you will find Queen Station – another stop on the TTC’s Yonge-University subway line.
If you want to stay above ground there are plenty of bus services for you to utilize, plus east-west streetcar services on nearby College St, Dundas St, Queen St and King St. Head a little further to the south and you also have Union Station, with train services throughout Ontario and further afield, plus Billy Bishop Airport, which offers international flights.
