Neighbourhood Details

Ellie Condos is located in the desirable Willowdale neighbourhood and its position on Yonge Street puts it close to just about everything a resident could want. Not including the immediate retail space conveniently located in the development, there are a wide variety of shopping options within a short walk, including Empress Walk which is just 300m away and is home to a Loblaws, a Cineplex, and a whole host of stores and services.

Along Yonge St you will find a seemingly endless supply of restaurants, with both famous chains and privately-owned businesses in ample supply. Just a short walk to the south is Mel Lastman Square – the location for many celebrations and special events – as well as a community sports centre and the Toronto Centre for the Arts, which is perhaps the best place to watch musicals, plays and other performances outside of downtown Toronto.

Ellie Condos will have in-ground access to North York Centre subway station, which will prove to be particularly desirable in the cold winter months. The station is on line 1 of the TTC’s subway system and from there you can get downtown in as little as half an hour. An even more appealing prospect is the fact that this is the second most northern stop on the eastern side of line 1, which means passengers can usually board a train and find space before it becomes crowded further down the line – an appealing prospect for any commuter to downtown.

Aside from the subway options, there are many bus services nearby – with both Finch Station to the north acting as a hub for TTC, Viva, and GO bus services, and Sheppard station to the south also a major station for TTC bus services. Meanwhile, drivers have easy access to the nearby Highway 401, and Highway 407 ETR is only a short drive to the north.
