Neighbourhood
Towns at Langstaff House is located in the delightful and highly sought-after Mill Pond neighbourhood, and just steps away from the historic downtown of Richmond Hill. There are several parks within walking distance, including Mill Pond Park and Crosby Park. For further recreational pursuits, Elgin Barrow Arena is just the other side of Yonge St. Also a short walk away are the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts and many delightful shops, restaurants and cafes on the quaint stretch of Yonge St that marks Richmond Hill’s downtown area.
In terms of education, there are a number of institutions in the area, including a good range of private schools, which gives you an excellent set of options for the education of your children. There’s an equally good choice for shopping because a number of supermarkets and big-box retailers are within a short drive.
Transport
If you need to commute to Downtown Toronto, this is a fantastic location for you. Richmond Hill GO train station is a brisk walk away or minutes by car. From there you can catch one of the main North-South train services into Toronto, with the journey time from Richmond Hill to Union Station a little over 45 minutes. For commuting by car, Highway 404 is 10 minutes to the east, Highway 400 is 15 minutes to the west, and Highway 407 ETR is around 15 minutes’ drive to the south. If you choose to go by bus, there are regular VIVA bus services on Yonge St that can take you down to Highway 7 and the express, exclusive bus lanes on that stretch of road.
