Richlands is a new neighbourhood of townhomes, semi-detached and detached homes in Richmond Hill currently under construction by Arista Homes, Deco Homes, Fieldgate Homes and Opus Homes.
Richlands – Development Details
Located just to the north of the junction of Leslie Street & Elgin Mills Road, Richlands is a brand new, purpose-built neighbourhood offering a “Rich” life for its residents.
With four developers involved in this project there will be a wide range of homes available to buyers. The models include 20’ townhomes, double-garage rear-lane townhomes, 28’ semi-detached homes, and detached homes on 36’ and 43’ lots.
The homes come in a range of sizes and layouts. Across all four developers, the townhomes range from 1,484 to 2,639 sq. ft. in above grade floor space, the semis range from 1,775 to 2,328 sq. ft., the detached homes on 36’ lots range from 2,010 to 2,621 sq. ft., and the detached homes on 43’ lots have floorplans ranging from 2,148 to 3,470 sq. ft. in above grade floor space. Across this wide range of models there are layouts with three bedrooms, four bedrooms and five bedrooms.
Aside from the homes under construction at Richlands, the developers have a plan for a community filled with natural spaces. Over 45% of the community will be dedicated to parks and other green space, providing a relaxing, natural environment for anyone living there. In total, out of the 72.94 hectares that make up the Richlands neighbourhood, there will be 25.36 hectares of “natural heritage open space”, 2.7 hectares of park land, and 6.02 hectares of additional open space.
Neighbourhood Details
Richlands is located at the eastern edge of Richmond Hill. It lies on the opposite side of Leslie Street to the Richmond Green Sports Centre and Park, which houses a skating arena, many sports fields, an outdoor winter skating trail, and the open spaces used for many of the city’s celebrations and events. Alongside that complex is the secondary school with the same name, which is ranked as one of the top schools in the province.
On the same side of Leslie Street and just south of Richlands is a popular shopping plaza anchored by Home Depot and Costco and containing many other well-known retailers.
A little farther away, you will find the extensive amenities on offer in Richmond Hill and other nearby locations. It’s an area that has grown considerably over the last few decades and now has everything you would expect from a modern city. That includes good transit options like the GO train services that are available from Richmond Hill station – just a short journey away from Richlands. Another option for getting around is Highway 404 – ne of the main north-south highways in the GTA. The highway is just 1.5km away from the entrance to the community and can give you easy access to the rest of the GTA – whether you plan on driving to downtown Toronto, connecting to highway 407 and 401 to head east or west, or heading north to enjoy cottage country.
